Anthony P. Edmund — Chief Engineer
Anthony P. Edmund was born and raised on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Both his father and uncle were police officers with the Trinidad police force and were avid cricket and footballers, playing on the national cricket and soccer teams.
At the age of 17, Anthony moved to the United States. He lived and worked in New York City for 4 years before joining the U.S. Army. While stationed in Korea, Anthony met his first wife, Yon Sim. They had two beautiful daughters, Renee and Jenny. Anthony traveled the world while in the Army as a helicopter mechanic/crew chief.
After almost 20 years in the Army, Anthony became a government contractor, spending 15 years in the Middle East.
While in the military, Anthony had flown in and out of San Angelo and fallen in love with the area. In 2003 he moved himself and his younger daughter to San Angelo and worked as a contractor for Dynacorp out at Mathis field. Anthony's contracting job took him back overseas until 2011 when he decided to come home to San Angelo for good. He is now a dealer/trade driver for the Dodge house and enjoys it very much.
Anthony met Captain Mack though his wife. She and Mack are very involved in San Angelo's theatre community. While on Lake Nasworthy doing research for the boat project, it became very clear that this was a project that they were both excited about and that, with Anthony's military experience and mechanic background, he would be the obvious choice as engineer. He is very excited and honored to be the Chief Engineer for the Tule Princess.
Debra Edmund — Operations Manager
Debra moved to San Angelo with her family in 1972. Her father was the pastor of West Side Baptist Church for 35 years. Debra went to Lee Jr. High and graduated from Central High School 1978. She married her first husband in 1980 and has 3 children, Rachael, Brian and Tommy and 6 grandchildren.
Debra graduated from ASU with her undergraduate degree and is a Special Ed teacher with SAISD. She also has her Master's degree from ASU in Mid-Management. Debra met her current husband Anthony in 2005 and they were married a year later. Together they have 5 children. She loves being mom and her grandchildren are the loves of her life.
She became friends with Mack through her involvement in San Angelo's theatre community and they became dear friends. She has been very excited for Mack and this venture and was thrilled when he asked her to be involved. She is proud to be a part of the Tule Princess crew.
Gene Roberts — Fireman/Assistant Engineer
A native of Mereta, Texas, he grew up helping with his family farm, hunting, and fishing. With a love for the water and the outdoors, when Captain Mack asked him to join the crew of the Tule Princess, he happily accepted.
Extensive training with the East Concho Volunteer Fire Department, where he currently serves as Captain and Vice President, makes him the perfect choice for Fireman on the Princess.
He is missed, but supported, on weekends by his wife, Suzy, and daughter, Caity. He supports them in their theater endeavors and is frequently seen volunteering at both Angelo Civic Theatre and BE Theatre where he has shared the stage with most of his ship mates.
